wine jelly

A jelly differs from a jam because it’s made from liquid as opposed to solid fruit pieces, which is what gives it that beautiful translucency. We only ever use fruit pectin as a thickening agent, making our wine jelly vegan-friendly*.

how it's made

We wanted wine jelly that actually tastes like wine, so we don't add any other flavourings! Every other ingredient used is for turning it into jelly (and usually a teeny bit of grape juice because a single bottle of wine is about 1/8 to 1/4 cup shy of being enough for a single batch).

We both believe in buying local, which is why we make all of our wine jellies out of local wines from the GTA and Niagara Region. We have experimented with many wines and found these to be the favourites, though we occasionally make limited edition batches with new wines based on the season, availability, and our creative whims.
